duct tape this...

14. a nice man name freddie, who wrote a nice book entitled beat the house, held his bike helmet together with silver and black duct tape. between the duct tape and his recumbant bike we had a lot to talk about.
15. used to tape down wires and chords on a public sidewalk in soho. lots of tape, a grid of duct tape, holding down wires and preventing clumsy accidents. this is a pretty normal use for duct tape, but i'd never seen it used in such a public place with so much traffic.
16. a good slogan! a bleecker street phone booth scrawled with the slogan, "duct tape bush". so this wasn't real duct tape, but it sort of metaphorically serves a purpose here. i think. it's still funny. luckily i had my camera and took a picture (the woman on the phone at the time looked a little concerened), and i will try to get them up.
17. duct tape used to hold two beams together. well, it was one of those construction on the sidewalk barrier things, and the horizontal and vertical metal pipes were held together with duct tape. it was old and rotting, but duct tape none the less.
