i have this friend. we call him phillips. he is one of the funniest people i know. i'm not just saying that in one of those off-the-top sort of ways. he really is one of the funniest people i know, maybe even the funniest person. he wants to be a writer, a comedy writer. we (this time there really is a 'we', and it's not just me) think he will become a famous writer for snl or something equally funny. he does stand up now, and his act is better every time i see him. last night he performed at the gotham comedy club, and he performs there on mondays, sometimes. anyhow, if you like funny people, or for any reason have any connections for funny people, you need to hear john. we're trying to make him famous.
